About MeI'm Marzena, a Product Design Leader who's spent over a decade leading design strategy for complex, enterprise B2B products. I believe thoughtfully designed technology should reduce friction, build trust, and enable people to do meaningful work at scale.
My path into design wasn't linear. I began my career in finance, which shaped how I think about systems, risk, and decision-making. Discovering design reframed how I approach problems - combining analytical thinking with deep empathy for human behaviour. Over time, design became not just a discipline, but the lens through which I understand products, organisations, and teams. Since then, I've partnered with startups and large organisations to build and scale product experiences that are intentional, accessible, and grounded in real user needs. I work most often at the intersection of strategy, craft, and execution - leading teams, shaping direction, and ensuring design meaningfully contributes to product and business outcomes. As a design leader, I believe great design organisations require more than talented individuals - they need clear strategy, strong processes, and deep cross-functional partnerships. I measure my success not just in shipped products, but in the systems I establish: teams that can navigate ambiguity, design practices that maintain quality as organisations grow, and cultures where design meaningfully influences business decisions. Alongside my professional work, I'm motivated by curiosity and craft. I enjoy hands-on projects, exploring new places, and advocating for sustainable living - practices that keep me grounded and thoughtful in my leadership. I also explore visual storytelling through photography, which sharpens how I observe, listen, and communicate - the same skills I bring to mentoring teams and leading design organisations. |
