About MeI'm Marzena, a Product Design Leader, with over 15 years of experience leading design strategy for complex, enterprise B2B products. My path into design wasn't linear. I started my career in finance, which shaped how I think about systems, risk, and decision-making. Discovering design reframed how I approach problems, combining analytical thinking with a genuine interest in how people work. That shift changed how I solve problems, how I lead teams, and how I shape design organisations.
Today, I lead a compliance design team at Diligent, where I focus on setting direction, growing designers, and partnering closely with Product and Engineering leadership. I also guide my teams as they adapt to the changes AI is bringing to our craft, using new tools to move faster while protecting the quality and intent that define good design. I measure my success not only in the products we ship, but in the systems I leave behind: teams that can navigate ambiguity, design practices that hold quality as organisations grow, and cultures where design meaningfully influences business decisions. Alongside my professional work, I enjoy hands-on projects, exploring new places, and advocating for sustainable living. I also explore visual storytelling through photography, which sharpens how I observe, listen, and communicate, the same skills I bring to leading design organisations. |
